Marc-Antoine Corticchiato

MARC-ANTOINE CORTICCHIATO

Marc-Antoine Corticchiato is a French perfumer and doctor of chemistry whose work is deeply informed by both scientific rigor and Mediterranean heritage. Born in Morocco to a Corsican family and raised in France, he developed an early sensitivity to the aromatic landscapes of the Mediterranean basin. After completing advanced studies in chemistry and conducting research, he turned to perfumery as a way to unite analytical precision with sensory expression. In 2003, he founded Parfum d’Empire, a creative platform through which he explores historical and cultural “empires,” using fragrance to reflect the intersections of power, memory, and civilization.

Corticchiato’s creative philosophy centers on authenticity and the expressive truth of raw materials, often favoring natural ingredients that evoke sun-baked earth, aromatic scrubland, and coastal air. His signature style is textured, grounded, and atmospheric, with compositions that unfold like landscapes rather than linear structures. Immortelle, myrtle, cistus, and resins frequently anchor his work, rendered with clarity and restraint rather than embellishment. What makes his fragrances distinctive is their strong sense of place and identity: each scent feels like a distilled territory, shaped by Corsican memory and Mediterranean light, resulting in perfumes that are both intellectually structured and profoundly evocative.
