Maxime Exler is a French perfumer whose creative voice blends technical mastery with expressive storytelling. Born in the South of France, he developed his olfactory sensibilities amid the rich aromas of Mediterranean life, where sea winds, fig groves, and sun-warmed earth left vivid sensory memories that later inform his work. Trained at the prestigious MANE School of Perfumery and grounded in chemistry and raw material expertise, he joined the international fragrance house MANE, where he has crafted dozens of fine fragrances for global and niche brands.

Exler’s approach to perfumery is rooted in mood and narrative, often drawing on natural materials like oud, musk, tea, saffron, cardamom, and birch to create evocative compositions that balance richness with clarity. His portfolio spans elegant unisex creations—such as Chapter 1 for Ajmal—to award-winning works like CADEN for Omanluxury, which was named Niche Fragrance of the Year 2025, reflecting his ability to blend tradition with contemporary flair.
