STÉPHANE BENGANA

Stéphane Bengana is a French perfumer whose career bridges classical European perfumery and the rich traditions of the Middle East. Born in Clermont-Ferrand, France, he knew from a young age that fragrance would be his life’s work. He pursued this ambition through scientific study, earning a Master’s degree in Chemistry and a postgraduate degree in Perfumery at ISIPCA, one of the world’s most prestigious fragrance schools. Bengana began his career in Paris with Haarmann & Reimer before moving to Grasse, where he trained with Payan Bertrand and developed deep expertise in natural raw materials and traditional French perfume composition.

After more than a decade in France, Bengana expanded his creative horizons by relocating to Dubai, where he worked as a senior perfumer and later Perfumery Director at CPL Aromas. Immersed in the region’s rich olfactory heritage, he became particularly passionate about Arabic perfumery, incorporating oud, spices, and resins into his creations. His fragrances—such as Minuit et Demi and Nubes—reflect a refined balance between European elegance and Middle Eastern intensity.
