Sanctuaire Marin is an olfactory tribute to the luminous landscapes of the Mediterranean coast, where rugged cliffs meet the endless sea and the air carries both resinous forest aromas and salty marine spray. Created by perfumer Suzy Le Helley, this scented candle captures the peaceful sanctuary found between land and water. Inspired by pine groves overlooking the shoreline and the mineral scent rising from sun-heated rocks, the fragrance recreates the feeling of standing at the edge of the sea as waves break gently against the coast. It is a tranquil yet invigorating composition designed to transform any space into a serene coastal refuge.
The scent opens with the crisp, green freshness of pine tree, evoking Mediterranean forests bathed in sunlight. At the heart, a distinctive algae accord introduces a marine depth that recreates the iodized vibrancy of ocean air and tidal waters. The base settles into the warm, ambergris-like richness of amber tones that echo the mineral warmth of stone cliffs at sunset. Trim the wick to approximately 5mm before each use.
Allow the wax surface to melt evenly across the top during the first burn to prevent tunneling.
Do not burn for more than 3–4 hours at a time.
